Thai Lemongrass Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. Tequila (Iā€™d use Blanco for this)

  • 2 oz. lime juice

  • 1 oz. agave nectar (make sure you taste it, you can always add more)

  • 2 Tbsp. chopped lemongrass

  • 2 Tbsp. peeled/chopped ginger

  • Half a Thai chili

  • Seltzer

  • Thai basil for garnish (not pictured)

  • Salt and cayenne pepper for garnish

Technique:

  • Muddle lemongrass, ginger, chili, and agave in the bottom of a shaker (realllllly muddle it)

  • Pour in lime juice and tequila and shake with ice

  • Line the rim of a glass with the opened lime, then coat with a mixture of kosher salt and cayenne pepper

  • Pour, add some seltzer, and garnish with some Thai basil
